About SpeedCams UK
SpeedCams UK is an independent information service that makes public UK road-safety data easier to search. The map is designed for location research and journey planning, not for avoiding enforcement or replacing road signs.
What we publish
Camera coordinates come primarily from OpenStreetMap, a collaborative map that anyone can inspect and improve. Where available, we add road names, posted speed information, direction, Department for Transport traffic counts and nearby collision statistics.
What the data cannot tell you
A mapped point does not guarantee that equipment is active, correctly classified or unchanged. Most OpenStreetMap records do not identify the exact camera hardware model. We therefore separate the location directory from our educational camera-type guides and do not claim model totals.
How we check updates
Imports are restricted to the United Kingdom administrative boundary, validated for duplicate coordinates and IDs, and checked against the city, county and road indexes before release. Collision totals are deduplicated within each geographic area so an incident near several cameras is counted once.

Corrections
If a location is wrong or missing, you can improve the source map in OpenStreetMap or email info@speedcams.uk with a road name, approximate coordinates and a source we can verify.
